We Are Here For Community

Supporting Communities to Thrive

At Feelgood Communities CIC, working with communities is at the heart of everything we believe in. As a not-for-profit social enterprise, our purpose is to spark wellbeing, creativity, and connection through inclusive, joyful, and transformative group experiences.

We support grassroots groups, housing associations, charities, support networks, health and wellbeing hubs, neighbourhoods, cultural projects, and youth-led initiatives.

We create uplifting, practical and tailored sessions that build confidence, strengthen relationships and nurture resilience. Our community-focused activities include:

All activities can be adapted for intergenerational groups, culturally diverse communities, people with lived experience of trauma or neurodivergence, and groups with low confidence or isolation. We contribute our time, energy and skills because these activities:

  • Strengthen Community Bonds: Shared laughter, creativity and reflection build friendships and trust.
  • Promote Mental Health: Fun, purpose-driven activities reduce anxiety, foster belonging, and improve wellbeing.
  • Build Confidence & Voice: Our creative and laughter programmes empower people to speak up, connect, and lead.
  • Encourage Inclusion: All our activities are designed to be welcoming and accessible, whatever someone’s background or experience.  If we can laugh together, we can live together!
  • Develop Local Leaders: With our Wellbeing Activity Cards, and projects such as PeaceJam, we help individuals grow into facilitators, peer mentors and changemakers.

We’d love to partner with you with:

  • One-off sessions or long-term programmes
  • Co-designed events with community members
  • Training for peer facilitators and local volunteers

What People Say

“We have used Feelgood Communities CIC several times now to deliver Crochet and Laughter Workshops for our customers. The feedback has always been excellent and everyone enjoys the sessions – we’ll definitely be booking more in the future.”

Chirstopher Hughes, Stockport Homes Group
“This is the ‘Laughter Man’ who we had at our Development Day a couple of years ago. He is fab and our staff really enjoyed him. He is able to relate laughter to wellbeing in many ways. Just send him an email with what you want and I’m sure that he will be able to support your day by providing a very enjoyable workshop.”
Children and Family Support Wolverhampton
“The training was really useful and everyone enjoyed it.”
Valley Housing Association
“Excellent, very well structured, good fun and good to relate to caller/volunteer needs; we laughed and smiled and learnt; we should have him in every branch; very interactive and emotional; involved everyone without our feeling too exposed; helpful release of emotions in a surprising way.”
Samaritans Conference
“Thank you for making our Rotary meeting extremely successful. It was a great evening and it makes sense to use laughter as a way of improving wellbeing by putting different thought processes in place. I know that our members enjoyed it as during the meeting the following week, they were still saying Ha Ha What?”
Rotary Club of Gatley

“My ribs are aching and I feel exhausted now but very happy. We all enjoyed your session and have benefitted from it enormously. Well done that man!”

Pam, Macclesfield Community Group

“I have taken part in Claire’s Laughter yoga at events at least three times in a couple of years and each time it blows me away how clever and simple it is. Claire is a joy to be around. Always making people laugh, and not afraid to make fun of herself and situations she gets into – her stories are infectious. She really knows her stuff and explains fully how laughter yoga works on our bodies and minds. Everyone leaves the session feeling happy and uplifted. Her mission seems to be to make the world more joyful and fun. And it works. Can’t wait to try it again!”

Linda, Retreat Participant

“I arrived half asleep, still in my jimjams, wellies on for the wet grass, best pal at my side, similarly spectacularly attired. I had no idea what to expect, and I’m so glad because it was completely bonkers and amazing and wonderful. Laughed so much my sides hurt, inside and outside that is. Arrived with my best pal, left feeling like I’d made loads of new ones, also that I belonged, I was enough, I was accepted, included and free to just be silly old me, in all the best ways possible. Claire is a genius, she should be on every NHS prescription. We’d be a nation of chucklers, gigglers, guffawers and lovers in no time. Loved it, can’t recommend it enough”

Julie, Way of the Buzzards Space to Emerge Retreat

“Thank you for a wonderful session. I ended up laughing in my sleep that night.”

Amina Waldron, Youth Elements

“The presenter of the laughter session was inspiring!”

Alison, Manchester Metropolitan University

“Thanks for yesterday. The young people really enjoyed it. So did the leaders!”

Bob Day, Roby United Reform Church
“A very quiet shy member of the group you worked with just before Christmas was talking about the study release course with me today…. he really appreciated the stress relieving session in itself… then he failed a crucial exam and was called up to see a panel of senior docs to decide what would happen next. a nerve-wracking experience for anyone. while waiting he suddenly remembered your session and said ‘ha bloody ha’ to himself. He said, “I immediately relaxed and felt calmer and was able to face the panel in a better frame of mind”. He was not someone I would have imagined taking it all on board so easily and it really worked for him… so thanks and well done…. he appreciated it.”
Medical School About a Trainee Doctor

“Claire’s laughter yoga session with the teaching team at Mellor Primary School was the most mentally invigorating session that gave our team an energy fuelled, rib tickling, stomach aching uplifting feeling of happiness. Claire left us with a sense of feeling together, harmonious and inner joy. I can think of no better way of sharing the joyous impact of laughter upon us as a community, than through one of Claire’s laughing yoga sessions. If you get the chance to work with Feelgood Communities you’ll be all the better for it and the skills you will gain have the potential to impact upon your life and the life of others for a long time into the future. Grab that opportunity and just laugh!”

Jim Nicholson, Headteacher Mellor Primary School

“I feel the laughter sessions helped in a number of ways: helped carers deal with stress; helped staff deal with stress and assisted with team work; assisted activity coordinators in adding the laughter therapy to their work with those with dementia.”

Rachel Yates, Making Space

“Massive impact on mental health.”

Tracey McNamara, Sure Start, Fleetwood, Lancashire

“Many thanks for the session last week – everyone who attended said they enjoyed it and got something from it. You pitched it brilliantly for what we wanted.”
