Our Philosophy, Principles and Ethos
At Feelgood Communities CIC, we believe that wellbeing starts with connection: connection to ourselves, each other, and our creative spirit.
Our ethos is rooted in three core principles:
Joy is a powerful tool for change. We see laughter, play, and creativity not as nice extras, but as essential pathways to better health, resilience, and belonging. When people feel joy, they open up, build trust, and discover new possibilities.
Everyone deserves access to wellbeing. We are passionate about making wellbeing activities inclusive, welcoming, and accessible to all, regardless of background, ability, or circumstance. From care homes and men’s groups to schools and corporate teams, our work meets people where they are.
Community makes us stronger. We believe in the strength of collective action. Whether it’s a local laughter club, an international project, or a creative workshop, our approach is always collaborative, co-produced, and grounded in respect for the unique gifts every person brings.
We combine evidence-based practices such as therapeutic laughter and breathwork with creativity, warmth, and humour to help people thrive. Our work is guided by compassion, curiosity, and a genuine belief that wellbeing can be both serious and seriously fun.
Feelgood Communities is a Community Interest Company, established in 2011, building on the wellbeing work we have been doing as individuals since 1996.
