We Are Here For Businesses

Laughter Yoga and workplace laughter sessions

If we understand what our laughter means, and understand what other people’s laughter means, we can start to use this knowledge to make a difference – to the way we respond to other people, and to the way we behave. We can turn away fear, and instead enjoy and encourage and use appropriate laughter.

If everyone understood this, humour and laughter could be part of the culture in every office and every business and every home in the country, helping to get rid of stress, get rid of fear, and increase quality of life”.

Workshops, away days, team building and coping strategies

We lead Laughter seminars, ice breakers, talks and workshops for groups of all sizes, individually designed, and lasting from less than an hour to up to a day.

These are for team building, confidence building, communication and problem solving, making choices, managing change, and finding new strategies for dealing with different situations.

They use games which encourage laughing and self-awareness. Laughter naturally bubbles up, leaving a sense of wellbeing and relaxation, is good exercise, and is a shared experience that creates a good memory.

Activities are chosen from a kit bag of options to construct the right balance for you, for a quick boost of 10-20 minutes, or a more in-depth 40–60-minute or longer session.

Online Laughter for Workplaces

We also deliver online Laughter Workouts for businesses, organisations and communities.

Supportive evidence

The picture shows results from a study in 2006, commissioned by Laughter Yoga International, with 200 IT professionals in Bangalore, India. Half of the group had 7 Laughter Yoga sessions over an 18-day period.

In the Laughter Yoga group, there was a significant drop in blood pressure, the levels of the stress hormone cortisol were significantly reduced, there was an increase in positive emotions and a decrease in negative emotions. The participants also indicated a reduction in perceived stress, even though their work had not changed.

Research into the physiological, emotional, and social benefits of laughter has been carried out for over 40 years.
